Point Switching Unit for Maerklin-Z
Maerklin-Z uses the 7272 to change the power point. Furthermore, in order to use a Select point formula (when the direction of the engine electric current is run only through the rail), the 7271 is also needed, and the 2 switches have to be used separately. When multiple points are used, the number of wire connections increases, and there will be a lot of wires necessary to make the signals work. This point switching unit is used to avoid such a situation. Maerklin-Z power pack is the energy source. (The point is valid for all maerklin-Z electrical operations points)
<Characteristics of the product>
(1)The point change will occur with every switch. With every switch change, the right current is transmitted instantaneously to the point through a relay. We managed to eliminate the uncertainties regarding the damage of the point coil as a result of keeping the power on constantly for a long time. (2)It is possible to use three points at the same time with one unit. For example it is possible to change 2 points at both ends of an island type of platform with one simple action. If 2 circuits-free terminal of a toggle switch are used, then it is possible to connect the use "Select point connection" for one direction and "forward signal" (green for forward, red for opposite). The system is easy to build, as a manual containing connection explanations is attached. (The solder is necessary to make the connections) (3)It is possible to set the switch on the operations panel in an aesthetic manner.

(1)If you have one base unit, it is recommended you use the "Expansion pack". It becomes possible to expand by connecting multiple units in waterfall manner (solder is needed for connections) (2)Furthermore, there are 8 special order forms (including the base unit). One form is used for each unit. Connecting becomes very easy this way.
